A Floral Thank You

Sneaking in under the wire for the latest A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Florals with Winnie & Walter.

I tried a technique that I've never tried before, I can't quite recall what it is called? I started with a watercolor panel painted with some blues and purples, and then stamped the large hydrangea from Winnie & Walter's In Bloom- Annie's Garden Stamp Set, then die cut Hero Art's Fancy Thank You Die from the panel. I also die cut it from some fun foam. I then adhered the panel to a white card base, then fun foam to that, and then the die cut over the fun foam. Happy Fri-yay everyone!

Where Creativity Meets C9:: Challenge 11:: Embossing

There's a new Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge and it's all about creating a project showcasing embossing the amazing products available at Concord & 9th as this challenge is dedicated to the innovative stamp company and their products! You can try any embossing technique: heat embossing, dry embossing, emboss resist, etc.!

There are so many beautiful stamp sets available at Concord & 9th. I chose to work with the delicate and beautiful Wildflowers Stamp Set.

I started with a white cardstock panel where I embossed a few flower images in red and blue, and some foliage in green. I've had these colored embossing powders for years, and barely pull them out to use! I love this Wildflowers Stamp Set for this technique due to its fine, detailed images that can hold their own without coloring. I finished the card by with a black/white panel and then a heat embossed sentiment from Butterfly Beauty.

The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree. The favorite entry will be asked to guest design for a future challenge! The challenge runs until July 29th, so there is plenty of time to pull out your favorite Concord & 9th stamps and die and create an one layer project. Plus, new Concord & 9th products were released TODAY and they are fantastic!

You can find Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge on Facebook here, and their Instragram here!

Hello There...From All of Us

As the resident card maker in my office, I like to have a few cards on hand that can be given to an individual from a group of people. Here's one such card, created for the Little Tangles Challenge 82: Masking.
I stamped and masked, stamped and masked, stamp and masked all three of the sweet characters from Better Together onto a white cardstock panel and then did some simple coloring with Copic Markers. The panel was then attached to a light grey card base that had an added detail of a die cut from Tiny Cuts.

I finished with a sentiment tag (although I didn't wish to cover all the sweet faces, I had an oops when masking and ended up with a boot in the face! Then and there I decided to cover it with my sentiment panel.

Sending You Strength

It was a nice little cardmaking break I took to spend some time with family celebrating the 4th of July. I'm back today with a card made for the MFT Sketch Challenge 340.

I stamped You Have My Heart on a main focal circle, colored with Copics and then adhered to a kraft card base that was inked using the Radiant Rays Stencil. I then added some grass using the Grassy Hills Die-namics and finished with a sentiment from More Essential Sentiments
