Winter Blooms

Not much has changed from when I was little. They city council decorated the town today and I was transported back twenty some years. From the street lamps hang the retro tinsel and light lined shapes I remember from my youth. The store windows still don feathered painted white snow and rows and rows of poinsettias. Oh, the Christmas season is upon us and my spirits are lifted and merry! 'Tis the season!

This is my first time playing along at  CASE Study Challenge Blog. I was drawn to the featured card-loving the bold outlined flower, the scallops, pearls and the round shape! I added those in my design, but catering it towards the holiday season with some Christmas-y paper and sentiment.

Here's the featured CASE card by uber talented Heather Pulvirenti.

Cardstock: (Vintage Cream) PTI, (Green) CTMH

  7. Oh Karen, this card just took my breath away!!! IT's STUNNING! I do love paper piecing - the colors you picked touch my heart!

I've spent the morning (while my DD is at work) wandering around Medford Square. The weather (strangely) is about the same temp as it is in Arizona today! Very nice! I, too, watched the Medford City Hall (Medford, MA) being decorated (and took a photo - hope it turns out ok when I see it big).

Thanks for the beautiful card - it's inspiring.
    Hugs!
